About this tour
Taiwan: Kinmen Island, The Island of the Apocalypse is a 6-day, 5-night tour (23-28 November 2026) combining Taipei with Kinmen, a small Taiwan-controlled island a short distance from the Chinese city of Xiamen. The program is built around war history: tunnels, fortresses, battle museums and Cold War relics.
In Taipei the group visits the Golden Museum, Jiufen coast sights, the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, the National Palace Museum and Longshan Temple. On Kinmen the route covers Ou Cuo Beach with its sunken tanks, Zhaishan Tunnel, the Guningtou Battle Museum, the Beishan Broadcast Wall, Granite Hospital, the 823 Artillery Battle Museum and Mashan Observation Post, with a choice between a Taiwu Mountain hike and a visit to a knife shop made from artillery shells.
The tour is led by Khun Pap, owner of The Wild Chronicles page, together with Khun Yo, editor of Thai Armed Force (TAF), as history and war lecturers. Travel is with EVA Air and a domestic flight between Taipei and Kinmen.
