About this tour
The Wild Chronicles presents a new route through Pakistan and Afghanistan, tracing the story of Afghanistan from Gandharan civilization and its refined Buddhist art, which carries Greek roots, to the civil war that has held back the country's development to this day.
The trip starts in Pakistan with a stay at the century-old caravanserai hotel known as the 'one-baht-a-night hotel' and a visit to a gun workshop in Peshawar. The group then crosses the border over the Khyber Pass, more than 50 km long and the historic link between Central and South Asia.
In Afghanistan the program includes Kabul Zoo, the Omar Mine Museum, Ghazi Stadium, the Buddhas of Bamiyan (UNESCO World Heritage), Band-e Amir National Park and the Tank Graveyard in Bamiyan.
Hotels are 4-5 star or equivalent; in Afghanistan these are among the best hotels available. Visas for Afghanistan and Pakistan are included in the tour price.
