About this tour
Grand Morocco: Sand of Legends is a private (non-joined) group tour by The Wild Chronicles that takes its time at the places worth seeing and also reaches sites off the usual route. It runs 12 days and 9 nights, flying with Emirates via Dubai.
The route runs from Rabat, Chellah and the blue town of Chefchaouen through Meknes, Volubilis and Fez, then across the Atlas Mountains and the Ziz Valley to a night in the Sahara at Merzouga. It continues via Todra Gorge, Ouarzazate and Ait Ben Haddou to Marrakech and finishes in Casablanca, with six UNESCO World Heritage sites along the way.
The tour is led by Khun Pap as history lecturer, who explains the Moorish (Maghrib) heritage, the dynasties of Morocco and the layers of history in each place. Hotels are 4-5 star, except for the desert camp, and lunches and dinners are included.
